Perfect Habitat for Squirrels, Flying Squirrels, Chipmunks, Ferrets, Sugar Gliders
Our squirrel Henry has this cage and he gives it two paws up! The bar spacing is excellent (3/8" vertical), perfect for squirrels, flying squirrels, chipmunks, sugar gliders and ferrets. The large front door allows easy access to the interior. There are also some smaller slide-up doors for easy access that can be secured with metal snaps or clips. There's a wire shelf with a ramp, and a slide-out bottom grate and plastic tray for easy cleaning. The lower shelf provides handy storage, and the cage rolls easily. The glossy finish makes cleaning a snap; just wipe with a damp cloth. Sturdy, roomy, and with better bar spacing than a Critter Nation-type cage. This is a quality rehabber-approved cage at a great price. Your cage will ship directly from the warehouse.

I purchased this for my pair of southern flying squirrels. Easy assembly and the flyers love it. Wire spacing is perfect and it gives them plenty of room to play. Love it
Location, location, location. Now the perfect home. What more could these babies need? Once they were moving around better I put them into their home. It is so spacious (for 5) and squirrel friendly. Need to add some plastic ties to close the extra doors so no escaping. Enough room to add tree limbs to climb, Henry's house cube and Henry's boa. All of their activities and playtime make happy, strong, healthy babies. Easy to clean and looks beautiful in my house. Will be calling rehabber soon to start the process of releasing these babies. Good Luck Fab 5!!
Very pleased with this cage. It's a great size. You do have to make some modifications to prevent escape. I used small key chain rings to prevent the slide openings from being opened.
This is a really great cage. It houses my two young squirrels with lots of room, and is very sturdy. I love all the doors, but you must buy some type of clip to keep the squirrels from opening them. I gave this cage 5 stars because I think this is the best cage I could have bought. But there is one thing I was not happy with. At the bottom of the cage the floor just slides in. Under that a tray also slides in. Beneath both is another floor (?) with very large spaces between the bars that hooks to the frame. If you have active squirrels like I do, and they rock the cage about when the play, the floor and the tray will slide out and the squirrels can jump through large spaces of the 2nd floor and they've out. If I put the cage together incorrectly, please let me know. Anyway, I secured the floors and tray with a bungee cord. And I still think this a great cage.
Henry's Response: Thank you for the review and we're glad your squirrels are enjoying the cage. If your squirrels are able to cause the bottom grate to move, we recommend using small clips, twist ties, or some thin metal wire to secure the bottom to the sides of the cage.
Great cage to raise our baby grey squirrel, plenty of room for her to run around.
Rehabbing a baby squirrel after my male cat decimated the critters nest killing the mother and sibling. This was our third and last cage in 4 weeks. Squirrel is now living in the cage with the door open on the back porch. The squirrel, now about 10 weeks old, spends his days in the trees playing and foraging. This cage was a good find. I'd recommend it for any small forest mammal. Was easy to put together, instructions are logical, not descriptive.
Henry's Response: We're glad the cage is working out well for you. We do recommend starting the release process at 16 weeks minimum; 10 weeks is a bit early. However, we wish you success with this one!
I love this cage and my little flyer loves it too! It is reasonably priced and very large. It has storage space on the bottom and the entire thing is on wheels. The only down side is that it doesn't come with instructions and some of the bolts don't fit very well. I am pretty good at putting things together and it was still a tad bit challenging for me. Totally worth the money when you can get it on sale!
I was very concerned about such an investment in a cage. This one is worth it. Easy assembly, quality construction. My only negative is that I wish it had a "door on all four sides. Entrances/food doors only on 3 sides.
I love this cage. Lots of options for set up. Kept little buggers close til I was sure they couldn't get into trouble with anything loose or unsafe and all is well. They love the space and zoom around several times a day. Very easy to keep clean especially since installing a corner litter box.
