Rats were very picky with their food and so were the squirrels, and they love it! Instantly eat it and look for more!

    Happy Customer & Happy squirrel

Posted by Tara Davis on 17th May 2019

This is my second time purchasing the Henry's Wild Bites. I love them even more at the sale price! The full price seems a tad steep, however there is nothing else like this on the market for squirrel food, and it's a very good product. The first bag, my squirrel, who was used to eating lots of nuts (oops) did not care for them, but I continued offering them. I had to cut out all nuts, and only offer fresh veg AFTER offering the Henry's blocks, and at first he would only eat them out of necessity bc he was "starving" (not truly, but you know how squirrels are...very dramatic). He is onto his second bag now, and has been eating them for about 2 months, and now LOVES them. He gets them in the morning, and he eats them straight away!

As soon as these arrive, you need to toss the bag in the freezer. The bag is thick and heavy duty, and I have not observed any frost inside the bag. It's a freezer safe bag! Also the cubes do not stick together at all from being frozen together! So you don't have to spread them out on a pan to flash freeze them and then rebag them. Just chuck the entire bag straight in the freezer as soon as you get it. I give them to my squirrel straight out of the freezer, and they are fine. They are just cold, and not a frozen block, so don't worry about thawing it or anything. It isn't necessary!

We love Henry's and we are so glad there is an option like this to make sure Squirrels (and other little similar critters) get the supplements they need, like calcium! We almost lost our rescue due to MBD, and Henry's is the only reason, both from the supplements AND the information available when you google MBD, that we didn't lose him. I would pay $50 a bag for this food if I had to (but please do not make them $50 a bag hehe).

My squirrel loves the wild bites, but sometimes gets the flyer diet, but loves that too. I feel better about his health with this diet.
